Comprehensive Tree Service
Terms of Service
Information about using the Comprehensive Tree Service website.
About this website: Comprehensive Tree Service is an independent tree-service directory and editorial publication. Listed companies provide their own services and estimates. Sending a website message does not book a service or request an emergency response.
Effective date: May 11, 2026
Direct answer: These Terms explain how you may use comprehensivetreeservices.com, submit tree-service questions, contact listed companies for estimates, and communicate with Comprehensive Tree Services. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. Website content is for general information only and is not emergency help, legal advice, engineering advice, or a full tree-risk diagnosis. A written estimate, proposal, work order, or signed agreement will control the actual scope, price, schedule, and service details for any tree work.
1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service apply to your use of comprehensivetreeservices.com, including pages, blog posts, forms, images, downloadable content, messages, and other website features.
In these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Comprehensive Tree Services. “You” means any visitor, customer, potential customer, property manager, vendor, or person who uses the website or contacts us through the website.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the website. If you request or purchase tree services, additional written terms may apply. If these website Terms conflict with a signed written agreement for service, the signed written agreement controls for that service.
2. Website Purpose
Short answer: This website helps people learn about tree care and request tree-service help.
The website may include information about tree removal, pruning, trimming, storm damage, hazardous trees, tree health, roots, moss, moisture, wildfire-season preparation, permits, and local tree-service questions in the Pacific Northwest.
The website is not a substitute for an in-person inspection by a qualified professional. Tree conditions can change quickly because of wind, rain, snow, ice, drought, construction, soil movement, pests, decay, root damage, or hidden defects.
3. No Emergency Service Through the Website
Short answer: Do not rely on a website form for urgent danger.
Website forms, emails, messages, and online requests may not be read right away. Do not use the website as your only step if there is an immediate risk to people, a tree on a structure, a blocked road, a fire, a gas smell, active sparking, a downed power line, or another emergency.
For emergencies, call 911, your utility, your local public works office, or the proper emergency service. Stay away from downed wires, unstable trees, broken hanging limbs, and trees resting on structures or vehicles until trained responders or qualified professionals say the area is safe.
4. No Professional Diagnosis From Website Content
Short answer: Blog posts and guides are educational, not a final diagnosis.
Tree-service articles and guides can help you understand common warning signs, questions to ask, and next steps. They cannot confirm whether a tree is safe, diseased, structurally sound, legally removable, or likely to fail.
Do not use website content as a reason to climb, cut, drop, top, cable, brace, remove, or otherwise work on a tree yourself. Tree work can be dangerous, especially near homes, roads, slopes, fences, vehicles, buried utilities, and power lines.
Any tree-risk opinion, pruning plan, removal plan, permit review, or project plan should be based on site-specific conditions and, when needed, a professional inspection.
5. Service Requests and Forms
Short answer: When you submit a form, you agree to provide accurate information.
You may use website forms to ask questions, contact listed companies for estimates, send photos, or request contact. When you submit information, you agree that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it with us.
You agree not to submit false information, spam, abusive messages, malware, unlawful content, private information about others without permission, or content that violates another person’s rights.
Submitting a form does not create a customer relationship, guarantee service, reserve a schedule, create an emergency response duty, or require us to accept a project.
6. Estimates, Proposals, and Work Orders
Short answer: Tree-service details must be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Any online estimate request, phone discussion, text message, email, or photo review is preliminary unless we provide a written estimate, proposal, work order, invoice, or signed agreement that states the scope and price.
A written estimate may be based on the information available at that time. The price, schedule, and scope may change if site conditions are different from what was described, if hidden hazards are found, if the tree is more difficult to access, if extra equipment is needed, if permits or utility coordination are required, or if the customer asks for additional work.
We may decline a project for safety, access, legal, permitting, scheduling, weather, utility, equipment, or business reasons.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Short answer: Customers must provide safe access, correct property information, and needed permissions.
Before work begins, you may be responsible for:
- Confirming that you own the property or have authority to request the work.
- Identifying property lines, easements, shared trees, neighbor concerns, HOA rules, and access limits.
- Obtaining permits, approvals, or written permissions unless a written agreement says we will handle a specific item.
- Providing safe access for crews, equipment, parking, and debris removal.
- Moving vehicles, outdoor furniture, decorations, planters, toys, tools, hoses, fragile items, and other movable property away from the work area.
- Keeping children, pets, tenants, visitors, and unauthorized people away from the work zone.
- Disclosing known hazards such as septic systems, wells, irrigation, propane tanks, private wires, invisible fencing, lighting, drain lines, slope issues, bee or wasp nests, locked gates, or unsafe structures.
- Following crew safety instructions while work is being performed.
If you do not provide safe access or accurate information, the work may be delayed, changed, rescheduled, or canceled.
8. Permits, City Rules, and Protected Areas
Short answer: Tree rules can change by city, county, property type, and protected area.
Tree removal, pruning, and clearing may be affected by city rules, county rules, critical areas, wetlands, steep slopes, shorelines, native growth protection areas, covenants, easements, homeowner association rules, utility rules, or other restrictions.
You are responsible for confirming legal authority to perform the requested work unless a written agreement clearly assigns a specific permit or approval task to us. We may help identify permit questions, but we do not guarantee that work is allowed unless the required approvals are confirmed.
If a permit, utility clearance, access permission, neighbor consent, or agency approval is needed, work may be delayed until the issue is resolved.
9. Utilities, 811, and Power Lines
Short answer: Utility safety comes first.
Tree work may involve overhead power lines, service drops, communication lines, underground utilities, irrigation, private lighting, wells, septic systems, drainage, or other site systems. You must tell us about known utilities and private systems that may affect the work.
Before digging, stump work, grading, or other excavation, utility locates may be required. Snohomish County PUD says customers should call 811 at least two working days before digging near underground utilities. Public utility locates may not identify every private line or private system on a property.
Do not cut, prune, pull, or move trees or branches near power lines yourself. Utility-related work may require the utility, a qualified line-clearance crew, or special scheduling. We may stop or decline work if utility conditions are unsafe.
10. Weather, Site Conditions, and Safety Delays
Short answer: Tree work may be delayed or changed when conditions are unsafe.
We may delay, pause, reschedule, change, or stop work due to wind, lightning, heavy rain, snow, ice, wildfire smoke, extreme heat, poor visibility, unstable trees, unstable slopes, unsafe access, equipment issues, utility concerns, public safety concerns, or other conditions that affect safety or quality.
Tree work often involves changing conditions. A crew may need to adjust the plan after seeing the tree from another angle, setting equipment, finding decay, seeing root movement, discovering hidden hazards, or learning that a branch or trunk reacts differently than expected.
11. Tree Health, Results, and Natural Conditions
Short answer: Trees are living things, and no result can be guaranteed unless it is written in the service agreement.
We may provide tree-care information, pruning recommendations, risk observations, or service recommendations based on visible conditions. However, trees can have hidden decay, internal cracks, root defects, disease, insect damage, drought stress, soil problems, construction damage, or storm damage that is not visible from the ground.
No website content, estimate, pruning, trimming, removal decision, or tree-care service can guarantee that a tree will live, remain safe, avoid future failure, resist storm damage, or meet a specific growth result. Any service warranty must be stated in a written agreement.
12. Payments, Deposits, and Invoices
Short answer: Payment terms will be stated in the written estimate, invoice, or service agreement.
If you hire us, you agree to pay the amounts shown in the written estimate, invoice, work order, or agreement. Deposits, progress payments, final payments, payment due dates, accepted payment methods, and any late-payment terms apply only if stated in writing or allowed by law.
If a payment is returned, declined, disputed, or not made when due, we may pause scheduling, stop work, decline future service, pursue collection, or take other lawful steps. You are responsible for reviewing invoices and raising any billing question promptly.
13. Changes, Cancellations, and Rescheduling
Short answer: Project changes should be confirmed before crews arrive or work begins.
If you want to change the scope, add trees, remove trees from the scope, change access, change disposal needs, or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible. Changes may affect price, schedule, crew size, equipment, permits, utility coordination, and debris handling.
We may reschedule for weather, safety, equipment, crew, utility, permitting, emergency work, or other business reasons. Any cancellation fees or rescheduling fees apply only if they are stated in a written estimate, work order, invoice, or service agreement.
14. Photos, Reviews, and User Content
Short answer: Only send content you have the right to share.
If you send photos, files, reviews, comments, messages, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share that content with us. You give us permission to use that content to respond to your request, evaluate the project, prepare estimates, plan work, document service, handle safety issues, keep records, and communicate with you.
We will not use private customer photos for public marketing without permission or unless identifying details have been removed and the use is lawful and appropriate.
If you post a public review or testimonial, you agree that it should reflect your honest experience. The Federal Trade Commission has consumer review and testimonial guidance for businesses that addresses fake reviews, paid reviews, insider reviews, and review suppression. We do not ask customers to post false reviews or require a positive review as a condition of any incentive.
15. Website Accounts, Security, and Misuse
Short answer: Do not misuse the website.
You agree not to:
- Use the website for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.
- Try to access systems, forms, accounts, or data without permission.
- Send malware, spam, automated scraping, or high-volume automated requests.
- Interfere with website security, performance, or availability.
- Copy, frame, scrape, or reuse website content in a way that violates these Terms or the law.
- Misrepresent your identity, authority, property ownership, or service needs.
We may block access, reject submissions, remove content, or take other action if we believe the website is being misused.
16. Intellectual Property
Short answer: Website content belongs to Comprehensive Tree Services or its licensors.
The website may include text, images, graphics, logos, layout, design, articles, guides, downloadable content, forms, and other materials. These materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
You may view and print website pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, sell, publish, modify, distribute, scrape, or reuse website content for commercial purposes without written permission.
17. Third-Party Links and Tools
Short answer: We are not responsible for outside websites.
The website may link to government pages, utility pages, permit resources, review platforms, map tools, payment tools, social media pages, or other third-party websites. Those websites are controlled by others and have their own terms and privacy policies.
We provide third-party links for convenience or reference. A link does not mean we control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the third-party website, service, content, accuracy, security, or privacy practices.
18. Privacy
Short answer: Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
Our Comprehensive Tree Services Privacy Policy explains how we may collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the website or contact us online. By using the website, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
19. Disclaimers
Short answer: The website is provided as-is.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the website and website content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, complete, or free from harmful components.
We do not guarantee that website content will identify every tree risk, permit issue, pest issue, disease, utility concern, safety issue, or property condition. Any service guarantee or warranty must be stated in a written agreement.
20. Limitation of Liability
Short answer: Our website liability is limited to the extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Comprehensive Tree Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages related to your use of the website, inability to use the website, reliance on website content, third-party links, or online communications.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law. Service-related liability, if any, may also be governed by a written estimate, invoice, work order, signed agreement, insurance terms, or applicable law.
21. Indemnity
Short answer: You are responsible for harm caused by your misuse of the website or false information.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Comprehensive Tree Services from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, your unlawful content, your false property or authority information, or your violation of another person’s rights.
22. Governing Law
Short answer: These Terms are intended to be governed by Washington law unless another law must apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where another law must apply. Any service agreement may include additional dispute, venue, or governing-law terms.
23. Changes to These Terms
Short answer: We may update these Terms as the website or business changes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we update them, we will change the effective date at the top of the page. Changes apply when posted unless the updated Terms say otherwise. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
